Probably Birmingham Airport. There's certainly a good train connection from there to Wolverhampton.

My phone line's down at home. (Literally, it's lying on the ground)
I can still use the phone and internet at Mary's though.
Do you want me to book this on behalf of VF as I know both Dean and Kevin ? We can sort out the money later.

Oh yeah, I'll do something about the FAQ I started and the Vegan Cyclists section when I get a chance too.

I've emailed the organisers about a stall.
Has anyone got an exercise bike or rowing machine we could use for the day ?
I'll be travelling from Bewdley, about 20miles South of Wolverhampton, and could pick it up and return it if it's not too far out of the way.

Hmmmmm. Better dust the cobwebs off it. I'm ignoring the 'fitness' aspect of Vegan Fitness at the moment. Vegan sloth might be more accurate !

I've posted the form and cheque to book the stall.
The organisers are happy for us to run a fitness challenge throughout the day with JBC's rowing machine if we can supply people to run it. They will find space for it and promote it the same as the press up challenge.
I think having the challenge running all day is a better way to do it, so anyone can turn up at any time and have a go.
500m is probably the best distance to go for, with 2 minutes as a good target for a novice.
Should we charge people to have a go ?

Maybe just get there email address so we can send them a link to join the forum couple of days after the event.

500m seems like a solid distance, I plan to top 10 on the rowers table.

We could have a donation jar for VF, but not actually charge people.

This thread's gone a bit quiet. :(
I'm thinking about buying a rowing machine myself as the price of second hand ones on ebay doesn't seem to depend on age or mileage, meaning I'd get my money back when the novelty wears off, so we could have rowing races with two machines side by side.

We could do with some ideas for what we're going to have on the stall itself.
At the moment it's Hiking Foxes books, Mary's cakes & flapjacks and not much else.
I can make a display board and print a few pictures off the forum; people doing their sport or standing on a podium etc.
Maybe a list of members notable achievements; records held and competition results etc. ?

It is all quiet, but all good. We have got some goodies for the stall including two tubs of good hemp protein powder to give away and some fliers from XV (Vegan Cross, shop in London).
I will bring along my grippers for people to play with and my laptop to play movies.

Would be good to get a few sample tshirts from our shop http://skreened.com/veganfitness/ but don't know if I will be organised enough to sort that out.

A photo album I though would also be a good idea, maybe some from the VFW also?

You see we also put it on the front page and talking it up on our FB/twitter accounts.
