Mega Foston pig farm - last chance to stop it

Postby Catt Queen » Wed May 11, 2011 7:06 am

Midland Pig Producers are planning a factory farm that will slaughter around
48,000 pigs a year. You can help stop it by using Viva!'s template on
http://www.viva.org.uk/. Your objection could be submitted within minutes.
The deadline for objections is this Friday, 13 May.

This really sucks, particularly as it's only a couple of miles from where I live :( .

Sadly I can't see opposition having much effect; it's real farming territory round here, the council is Conservative controlled & the local MP (a Conservative who ousted Labour last year) makes great efforts to demonstrate how much she supports farming. Meh.
