1st Ⓥegan Weekend in Antwerp!

Postby baldy » Mon Nov 15, 2010 9:23 am

I have no connection to this event but it might be of interest.
[quote]On March 18-20th 2011 we will gather in Antwerp (Belgium) for a cosy, informal but also informative vegan weekend with cooking workshops and exchange of ideas, recipes, solutions to problems we may encounter daily and so on. We expect about 30 people, all Ⓥegan or Ⓥegan-to-be or people who are interested in this way of life and want to make the switch but don't know how.

In the main program are:
- Friday: Potluck + making acquaintance
- Saturday: Cooking workshops: Italian, Indian, cupcakes + city nightlife
- Sunday: Vegan brunch

We will also plan several lectures and discussions.

Beside this, we will have a give-away-market, where people stall things (in good condition) they don't need anymore and can pick out things that may be useful/interesting to him/her. This can be clothing, books, kitchen stuff, CD's, DVD's ... This allows all participants to make useful exchanges without any currency, just a healthy mind.

We will stay in the low-budget hostel called Scoutel at group tariff. We will have a kitchen and a big meeting room + a smaller 'chilling room' all for ourselves! Of course, those who live in Antwerp, can go home for the night and save the money.

Price per person per night for the hostel:

adults youngsters (until 25 years old)
2 person bedroom 18,60 16,50
3 person bedroom 14,60 12,50
4 person bedroom 14,60 12,50

Sheets: €4,30 / Large towel: €1,50 / Towel: €1,00.

Costs for the workshops and food:

€35. (We hope this will cover all expenses.)

We must pay 25% in advance, so please don't wait too long registering and paying. Thank you! Here's the account number: 973-0071027-57 (Account holder: Lode Van de Velde)(IBAN: BE09 9730 0710 2757, BIC: ARSP BE 22).

Please note that we are not responsible for any accidents during the weekends. So please refrain from dancing on the tables :D.
