[quote="fredrikw"][quote="fredrikw"]Another thing worth mentioning is that the ski pass is for the lifts only, for xc skiing you don't need a pass or anything like that.

not entirely true, in Vemdalen it's free but in Funäsdalen it costs €25 for one week.

Very reasonable. Would need to hire skis and boots though I think?

Yes yes but is there a snowpark????

With pipes, boxes, ramps??? I've got gaps to clear and curbs to smash!

[quote="soniczip"]shouldn't we decide where (country: is everybody ok with sweden?) and when (dates: people have jobs and exams) first?
then will see how many people are interested and get organized for the trip and the rest.

[quote="kallefs"]As Sonic says, I am interested but would need to know location and time.

I can take care of coming up with a suggestion (time, place, cost etc) if people are ok with Sweden.

In Funäsdalen there are 121 slopes and about 8-10 funparks. There is also lots of off pist possibilities if you are interested in that sort of thing.

In Vemdalen there are also several funparks and 51 slopes + off pist riding.

So I think you will find what you are looking for in both places. :)

[quote="fredrikw"][quote="bronco"]It is very unlikely that I would be able to make it, unless my employer suddenly fires me I won't have time :( .

of course you will have time, you just don't know it yet :)

I interpret this to mean you have started working on a cunning plan to get me fired from my job, eh :) ?

They oftenget confused by the fact that they are almost half protein themselves.

Thats what I couldnt find anything about.

Harrachov in Czech Republic seems like a nice place. Its on the border to Poland and close to Szklarska Poreba.

It has all difficulties and good Cross country loops.
I have never been there and of course its not a huge alpine area.
And with sweden beiing in the works, well, sweden has more pull.

Now that seden is out, is there still interest in doing this together?
Or someone from sweden able to take over?

For January, it gets a bit tight for planning.

BOOM!!!

Anybody still up for this??? February, march, hey ho, let's go!!!

Sonic! What about italy?? Plenty of Alps over there as well!

Heinrich! Poland? Czech? Come on, look up something for us!

France is always cheap in march but perhaps Austria would be better then? Nassfeld?

Sorry, I cant promise anything. Best I can do is check out spontaneus if something pops up.

Else, if you can get 10 people together, check out this:
http://www.harrachov.com/de/unterkunft/ ... 6-337.html
It would come down to about 50 euro per person.
Its hard to say though if there will be snow in march.
