Oh, the interview is in Buxton.

Me coming to London is a separate thing, but I wanted to be sure I could make the meetup if I'd been invited to an interview at, say, 4pm. It takes an hour from there to Manchester, plus 2 hours to London, plus cross-London travel ... you get the idea. That's why I suggested sat morning instead of Friday.

People who use words like "breeders" for people with kids can fuck off! I'm a non-parent by choice, but I like having kids around and Pogo is very family-friendly.

It all depends on whether your child can entertain themselves and/or hang out with a bunch of adults, I guess. Including adults who may swear. Some kids seem to dominate a conversation and it can be disruptive, whereas others just eat their food, explore, colour pictures etc. and generally hang out places with both adults and kids. I'm used to the latter type of child.

Cool She's only 8 weeks old so to be honest she just looks around the room or sleeps. She's generally very quiet, although if she does have a meltdown I generally remove her from public space, swearing and militant vegan attitudes are very welcome around her

Well, sounds fine by me.

I just recall a social at which there were two almost-three-year-olds. The boy ate olives and salad, hung out with some guys playing guitar, made conversation with everybody and then fell asleep when he got bored.

The girl's mum got really angry with me when I said the word "shit", insisted on child-friendly-bland-food-everything, sent the kid outside when she had a boredom tantrum and wouldn't let her talk to strange adults.

So I've been a bit cautious ever since.

Yah it'd be fine. Hackney Marshes is not that close to Pogo. Just expect a few more hipsters on the buses than usual.

Very nice chilled meetup at Pogo. I got major food envy when the Mex burger turned out to not come with guacamole and everyone else was eating there punk burger with facon and cheese.

Yeah, and mine had really stale bread that was a struggle to eat!

They need to sort out customer service in that place pretty badly. I don't think I'll go again.
