I don't agree at all. Its the most basic KB exercise there is.

the fact that you say so "could" mean you are doing it wrong  i used to consider it the most basic kb exercise as well, until i attended a course led by a pro. it's not what it looks like :D

Of course there is a lot of technique. It is a lot of technique in bench press also but I still think people who don't have great technique can and should do bench press. And doing 1000 depends mainly on the weight of the kettle bell.

It *is* simple, if you understand what's supposed to be doing the work. Took me 5 minutes to learn from an RKC guy at my old gym.

For me 1000 with a 24 would be easier than with a 16, because a 16 is too easy to overpower and thus you don't get the benefit of the bell loading the hamstrings.
“Begin at the beginning,” the King said gravely, “and go on till you come to the end. Then stop.”

Oh, I missed the diskussion here, but anyway, I did my 1000 swings with a 16 kg bell. And now I want to buy a hevier one!

This week it´s 600 burpees and I did 250 so far.

I also happened to notice you've got a floor in your appartment so you could also do the burpee challenge (after your comp of course).
