Newbie from Southern California

Postby vegan_hippie » Sat Jun 16, 2012 8:08 pm

Hey guys, I am obviously new here. I have been cutting animal products out of my diet (after being vegetarian off and on for 10 years). I stopped began vegetarian because I didn't think I could make a difference if I wasn't vegan, and I didn't think I could be vegan. I was brainwashed. But those days are over. I have been slowly moving towards a vegan diet and will be jumping in completely Monday. I am really excited. I wanted to do it slowly because I didn't want my body or mind to freak out. I am doing this for so many reasons. The animals and environment are of course a huge one, but also for myself. I have a lot of medical conditions and I think most of them are from eating meat. I guess that's what I get for not stay vegetarian. But I am proud of myself for making this commitment and I know this is going to completely change my life. I already feel way better than I did before and I hope I can find the support I need on this website.

Hello & Welcome! :) I've been vegan for about 20 years now. Tried to do the poll but it didn't work.

Welcome!
What sports do you do?
"The worker has the right to leave his boss, but can she do it? And if she does quit him, is it in order to lead a free life; where she will have no master but herself? No, she leaves to sell herself to another employer. She's driven by the same hunger. Thus the worker's liberty is only a theoretical freedom, lacking any means of realization; an utter falsehood."
