Powerlifter from Iowa, USA

Postby Adena » Fri May 11, 2012 4:45 pm

Hi, my name is Adena!

I've been vegan for nine years for ethical reasons.

I love powerlifting but I'm still a novice. I've only one done one rather informal competition so far.

I love riding my bike, more for the fun and freedom of it than for cardio, going to hardcore shows, cooking, and science fiction.

I came to this site because I think VBBF is getting kinda weird...

lol Solid reason for coming over from The Other Place.

Welcome! And post your numbers to the Strength Table!

Will do!

Yesterday I noticed the thread in the General Discussion about VBBF and I was like, "whew!" The weirdos were beginning to outnumber the normals over there.

Hey Adena, welcome to VF! Am surprised it took you so long to leave the other place. I used to read your log over there till I left almost a year ago because of the weirdos. It seemed like there were only 4 or 5 normal people back then, can't imagine what's going on there now, well besides people eating bark

Ahhahaha, I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed. I felt sort of weird about calling people out on obvious trolling and just plain weird nutrition opinions. I think poor Ryan (VeganEssentials) is having a hard time keeping up. Thanks for paying attention to my log. I always have a hard time remembering to post it. Keeping it in a notebook in my backpack is good enough for me anyway.

Welcome!

Its sad if there is one less normal person now on vbb but their loss is vf gain! (though to be fair some people with whacky ideas have been chased away from here and ended up to vbb, sorry...)

There are fair few females here who do powerlifting and have life too!

Enjoy and stay strong :)

Welcome!
"The worker has the right to leave his boss, but can she do it? And if she does quit him, is it in order to lead a free life; where she will have no master but herself? No, she leaves to sell herself to another employer. She's driven by the same hunger. Thus the worker's liberty is only a theoretical freedom, lacking any means of realization; an utter falsehood."

Hello & Welcome! :D

I think that I am still officially an Admin over there but honestly havent checked in for a long, long time... I did see Robert a few weeks back at the Seattle VegFest (Portland's is better!) with some VBB&F folks. He seemed well. :)

Just so you know, I have no problem with that website in general, and definitely not with Robert, it just seems like the forum gets spammed/trolled/etc a lot.
