Hello from New Mexico!

Hello! I'm Periwinkle and I am currently living in Santa Fe, New Mexico (USA). I'm an artist. =) I've been vegan for about a year now, and I was vegetarian for several years before that. I originally became vegetarian because I have a strong repect for ALL life and tend to be a sensitive soul. Now, I've added health and the environment to my list of reasons. I've always been very interested in alternative lifestyles that cause minimal suffering (I may bring up Fruitarianism or Breatharianism regularly), and I am currently interested in becoming a sort of Jain vegan. I love to hike and rock climb, and I am about to begin yoga (so we'll se how that goes) and pilates. I haven't been a member of an online vegan community until now, so I am extremely excited!

I'm curious about what you'll post as you stick around.

Welcome! You won't find fruitarians here but hopefully you'll find support for your new veganism and your fitness goals.
