yep even in Hong Kong

Hi there nice people

I'm Tom, Belgian, but married some time ago to Maggie who lives in Hong Kong. So I live there as well now, and boy is it hot here!
We both practice meditation daily, for several hours. I am unemployed at the time, but hope to find a job soon. I'm a physiotherapist and an acupuncturist (lived in China for 3 years). I have a special interest in nutrition and have read many books and tried different approaches (vegetarian, raw, fruit, vegan, cooked, some macrobiotic,...). We are vegetarian/vegan because of spiritual reasons (ahimsa).
I am doing weight training now, and really like Pete Sisco's take on the subject (train intense and short, and REST in between). I have just great results with it. I used to be a long distance runner as well.

Hope to contribute a bit to this nice forum,

cheers!

Tom.

ahimsa: rock on man!
I refuse to turn my back on these words I've etched into my soul; this oath I take to protect all life and never cheapen my own.

Awesome! I lived in Hong Kong from 93 'till summer of 96 back when I was 4. I miss it, that place is awesome.

Hi thx for the replies

yes HK is quite a city, and my god is it busy and hot and humid... I am learning Cantonese now, and already speak Mandarin. Do you speak the language, Yossarian? Maybe I will move to Beijing soon, I hope to get a job in a clinic there.

Hi!

How far did you run for long distance? Do you still run? Where?

Nice to meet you :)

Five sovereign fingers taxed the breath,
Doubled the globe of dead and halved a country;
These five kings did a king to death."

Hi there,

I was a marathon runner, though not very fast. I just liked the distances. I still run, but only on the treadmill now, since HK is just way too hot to run, and there's no space anyway. It's crowded here!

Cheers

Tom.
