I did touch it and found it much nicer here than I did to begin with. I think adding some cocoa powder really helped. Still horrible aftertaste though so Fruits you're more than welcome to it, but the leftover builder bars are mine, mines, all mine, i tells ya!!!!!!!

I guess it's just a matter of taste, and it's obvious from how you liked vega you have none lol!

ps- a girl on here is sponsored by Vega (DemoGirl). Apparently if you compete in a sport they may sponsor you and give you 2 tubs of vega a month free and boxes of the bars free a month, plus gear.

pretty cool.

I am presently one of the Vega ambassadors--this is a recent development. My ambassador page is not up yet. Will certainly put it on my profile when it does.

Vega is very very impressive, but doesn't taste nearly as good as they'd like to say it does.

It's an acquired taste. I doubt vegans would have much of a problem getting used to it, but the rest of the gneral population would be hard pressed to enjoy it.

I agree with the acquired taste. I think chocolate with bananas is great. It does give me pretty bad gas, but i don't take it all the time so my body doesn't do the good old Vega detox. Besides, my room mate farts all the tiem so i gotta get him back every once and awhile.

Nobody would notice the difference with me though

If I add lots more chocolate and maybe a banana then it's reasonable, but it's a shame that it tends towards the same ol' Meal Replacement Powder = MRP = Meals Rejected by Protozoa

I tried some of Gelert's Vega up in Svalbard. It wasn't that bad, but it would def. take some getting use to before I'd enjoy it. :D

But it seems like a great product for vegans travelling or going to not-so-vegan-friendly places for long periods of time (like research stations in the Arctic).

It only has 240 calories per serving according to the tub. Given the 6000 cals/day which is often mentioned as the calorie requirement for the arctic, then this lies well short; Even 4x daily intake of vega doesn't make it to 1000 calories...

I thought the point of Vega was to get the proteins, EFAs, vitamins and minerals you need. It seems to me like you often can get enough vegan sources of carbs to fill up your calorie intake, even in places where they have never heard of lentils and chickpeas. :D

Yeah, but it is marketed as a complete meal replacer....which to me implies that you can do without proper food

Which you can, as long as you don't go off doing silly things like spending 8-10 000 kcal per day.
