Anyone else supplement vit D? I bought the vegan soc approved one in Autumn and have taken a squirt a day. It's running out as the days get sunnier so I'll leave it until Sept/Oct before replacing it.
There's conflicting opinions on this, what does anyone else do?

I take a multivit with 100% RDA VitD in it plus I drink loads of soya milk that is fortified.
Plus a few sun holidays to be safe, a spray vitamin supplement just seems like too much work.

I take a vitamin D2 supplement. When it runs out I am going to buy some of the Vitashine brand vegan vitamin D3 because everyone says humans absorb much more vitamin D when it is D3.

I take Vitashine's D3 spray now and again, as ive tested deficient on vitamin D numerous times even as a non vegan. My levels have been consistently good for a while now though.
I blame it largely on the fact that im indoors for a large portion of the first half of the day. I also eat fortified sources such as soya milk. Will make sure i try get a sunny holiday this year also.

I use the Vitashine D3 spray semi regularly ... I just add a bit to anything oily like a salad dressing, as it seems like a nicer idea than squirting it in my mouth, and I have heard (could be correct or incorrect) that lipid soluble nutrients are better absorbed if consumed with a little bit of lipids.
It's possible I may be generally OK without ... often fairly good sunshine in these parts of the world, but I figure better safe than sorry.
I used to be "vegetarian" and consume cows milk products probably fortified with D3, so I have no experience to really compare living without any D3 intake and how it would impact me, if it all.

I took the vitashine D3 spray daily (well, most days) throughout the winter. I had two or three squirts most days, usually in the middle of eating my breakfast. Good stuff, slight coconut/buttery taste. My bones should be healthy hopefully, although I fear I've not been having as much calcium as I should....planning on getting blood tests done soon (vit D, B-12, iodine etc.) if my local NHS surgery actually provides blood tests for this purpose (vegan health check).

I have the Vitashine squirt in my desk at work and take one a day. On Fridays I've been having three to cover the weekend. It's running out now so I'll rely on the sun until Autumn.
There's theories that we've underestimated what we need and we could do with more. The China Study has some interesting buts on it including the immune system and fighting of MS. So maybe I could benefit from taking it during the summer as I live in the UK?

I will take during the summer as a) not that much sun a lot of the time and b) often cold enough that i don't have enough skin exposed to whatever sun there might be.
That said I live in Scotland

I live in florida where it's sunny all year, so I don't think i have to worry much about it, but I take a multivitamin with 100% recommended vitamin D and drink tons of fortified soy milk. Last time I had a blood test was a few years ago, but nothing was out of normal ranges at the time.
