maybes yeah. I saw it on 'VeganCorner' just now and since it wasn't april fools assumed it wasn't an april fool. Maybe they just never took down the website.

edited to say: they seem to be claiming to be at some show soon for samples so if it is a hoax it is a really long drawn out and committed one he he he given the thing you linked to was five years ago

The Vegg is "in the works" but will likely be introduced as a liquid or powdered yolk substitute first before an actual attempt at a fried egg will be out, from what we've been told. I've had a lot of conversations with the person manufacturing it, he's got a good recipe but is a one-man operation attempting to learn how to do product manufacturing on a wide scale, so there's a big learning curve involved (basically, if you don't have $250,000 or more to invest at the start of product development, it takes a LOT of time to figure out how to get something produced!)

We're slated to be the first shop to stock it whenever it is ready, haven't had any updates since late November, but hopefully will have more details soon!

It seems like the "vegg" product is out in the markets now. Have anyone tried so far? It seems like it contains salt, so I was interesting to know if anyone used it successfully in cakes and stuff. I am thinking that this might be what I have been looking for in my Macaroon project

I've tried the vegg, our local vegan grocery store carries it. I made a tofu scramble with it, and it was definitely the best scramble i've ever had.

I had it recently as a vegg in a hole. It was fucking delicious. Definitely recommended.
